Carl has been Piercing, Professionally, for many years. He started piercing as an apprentice, learning bodypiercing from a medical Doctor, then built his reputation in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool before opening his own studio Liverpool. Now based in his little studio in Chester, he has very high levels of Knowledge and Skill that have assured him a well-deserved reputation second to none.

At The Piercing Bodz Carl is renowned for the quality and consistency of his art and he has gained a reputation for consistent, clean and, above all, safe bodypiercing. He has regular clients from as far afield as the Isle of Man, Essex, Reading, Ireland, Spain and even Singapore. (and I'm NOT talking about students who come from EVERYWHERE).

Please keep an open mind whilst reading this site. Some of the information it provides may be different to the information you have found from other sources. Carl has been Piercing a long time and he has many thousands of clients with well healed piercings, so he know's what he's talking about. He blends scientific fact and common sense and ritual in equal measure, new and old in harmony - and it works.

This site is intended to share some of the knowledge Carl has collected. The aim is to provide information for as many people as possible. Any websites with adult content are banned in many libraries, homes and schools, so there are no nipple or genital photos anywhere on our website. (It does, however, have a picture of 'A Prince Albert' Click here)

Loyalty card launch 31st March 2012

Today sees the launch of our new loyalty card. Those of you who remember the last loyalty card event will know what it's all about. For those of you who are new to this, it's simple...

Collect your loyalty card from the studio...
Collect a stamp when you come in for a piercing, OR when you bring a friend for a piercing...
When you've collected 10 stamps the card can be exchanged for a free piercing of your choice.

There are some terms and conditions:

This is a limited offer. There are only 500 cards available.

Loyalty cards belong to the individual named on the card and are NOT TRANSFERABLE.

One stamp only will be given for each piercing or pair of piercings.

One stamp only for pairs of piercings that are already discounted (eg. earlobes, snakebites etc.).

Only one stamp per friend (eg If 4 people bring a friend only one of you will be given a stamp)

Any cards that are unreadable or tampered with will be void.

No "owing" stamps. If you forget your card we will not stamp your card on the next visit. Last time we had a loyalty card event it proved impossible to keep track of owed stamps, so DON'T FORGET YOUR CARD.

Free piercing includes standard jewellery. Non-standard jewellery will be chargeable.

All full cards must be exchanged for free piercing on or before 31st March 2013.

The Piercing Bodz management reserve the right to deny stamps, confiscate cards or withdraw this event at any time. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12/7/2010 MAJOR CHANGES _ PLEASE READ

Many of you will know that Carl's 20 year relationship with his wife has ended. His piercing, as always, takes priority, but it means that the company needs to go through some changes in order that he can, at least temporarily, run everything on his own.

As you can imagine, There are many aspects to a busy piercing studio. Answering the 'phone; piercing; selling and changing jewelley; Advising; Consultations; Not to mention cleaning, jewellery and medical supplies orders, assembling jewellery and autoclaving.

We always said it was a 3 person job, and were discussing approaching someone to join as an apprentice. Unfortunately, current events have led to Carl paying for an empty shop after it was vacated and can't take on any more help until that lease runs out. That means the studio is run with 2 staff less than it really needs to run completely smoothly.

As piercing is the company's priority and Carl's skills have been honed in that direction for many years then PIERCING needs to be the absolute priority. As a result, absolutely EVERYTHING ELSE will become secondary to piercing.

Jewellery sales and jewellery changing

I will be reducing the stocks of jewellery that I sell and sticking mainly to selling the jewellery that I use for piercing and spare and coloured balls, bcr's etc.. I am running down stocks of all other jewellery. I do realise that this may be inconvenient for many people, but the time that is spent dealing with jewellery sales really needs to be used so that Carl can concentrate on piercing.

If you need your jewellery resizing after initial piercing, this will be done on a first come first served basis, but you may have to wait for up to 30 minutes. Jewelley sales will be suspended during very busy times. If you know exactly what you want and you can fit it yourself, then I can sell you jewellery, but at busy times that is all I can offer you. Sorry. It really IS the only way.

Telephone enquiries and appointments.

As you can imagine it is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to do EVERYTHING that needs to be done at exactly the same time by just one person. Carl cannot answer the phone during a piercing procedure. If you call and get a message PLEASE LISTEN TO THE MESSAGE. IT TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO !!!!!

Consideration for Carl

Please remember that I really am doing the best I can. I am having to learn other jobs on top of the piercing and change my work method and work habits that have been developed over 20 years.

Please BE PATIENT !!

12/7/2010 We HAVE NO CHAPERONE FACILITIES

We no longer have chaperon facilities for our female customers. If you are coming for a nipple or intimate piercing, it would be a good idea to find someone who wouldn't mind accompanying you, if you can (friend, boyfriend, sister). I can talk about a chaperone when you book an appointment.

**IMPORTANT** 12/7/2010 Credit/Debit cards

Credit card companies and banks charge a huge amount for the priviledge of accepting their cards for payment of our services. We received a letter last week informing us that our fees were about to rise even further. In a small business like this, struggling to survive in an industry that seems to think cheaper is better and quality doesn't matter anymore, those rises would have crippled us completely. As a consequence :

We no longer accept Credit or Debit cards of any description

we are sorry if this inconveniences you. There is a cash machine outside the post office on Northgate Street, less than 1 minutes walk away, otherwise we would not have considered removing these facilities. (We are looking at re-instating credit and debit card facilities as soon as we can find a scheme that is suitable for us.)
